1. What do we see?

The colors we see are connected to the movement of electrons in atoms through the absorption and emission of light.

How is light related to electronic configurations of elements?

When an electron absorbs energy from incoming light, it jumps to a higher energy level. Eventually, the electron will return to its original energy level, releasing the absorbed energy in the form of light

When light interacts with an atom, the electrons within the atom can absorb energy from the light, causing them to move to higher energy levels or orbits around the nucleus.

As the wavelength increases, the frequency decreases.

Electromagnetic radiation can be expressed in terms of energy, wavelength, or frequency. Frequency is measured in cycles per second, or Hertz. Wavelength is measured in meters. Energy is measured in electron volts. Each of these three quantities for describing EM radiation are related to each other in a precise mathematical way. But why have three ways of describing things, each with a different set of physical units?
