INTRODUCTION

Hello Everyone,

Now that we know how internet has evolved, we now will learn what the internet of things is. At first the Internet helped us bring people closer together, but today the Internet also brings objects / things closer and not only through web pages but also through platforms, which allows us to have information and interaction in real time and from anywhere.

INTRODUCTION INTERNET OF THINGS

INTRODUCTION TO INTERNET OF THINGS

The term IoT, or Internet of Things, refers to the collective network of connected devices and the technology that facilitates communication between devices and the cloud, as well as between the devices themselves. Thanks to the advent of low-cost computer chips and high-bandwidth telecommunications, we now have billions of devices connected to the Internet. This means that everyday devices such as toothbrushes, vacuum cleaners, cars and machines can use sensors to collect data and respond intelligently to users.

INTRODUCTION INTERNET OF THINGS

The Internet of Things integrates every day “things” with the Internet. Computer engineers have been adding sensors and processors to everyday objects since the 1990s. However, progress was initially slow because the chips were large and bulky. Low-power computer chips called RFID tags were first used to track expensive equipment. As the size of computing devices decreased, these chips also became smaller, faster, and smarter.

WHAT IS INTERNET OF THINGS

The definition of IoT is a grouping and interconnection of devices and objects through a network (either private or the Internet), where all of them could be visible and interact. Regarding the type of objects or devices, they could be anything, from sensors and mechanical devices to everyday objects such as the refrigerator, shoes, or clothing. Anything you can imagine could be connected to the Internet and interact without the need for human intervention, the goal therefore is a machine-to-machine interaction, or what is known as an M2M interaction (machine to machine) or M2M devices.

IMPACT OF IoT

WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL IoT

Industrial IoT (IIoT) refers to the application of IoT technology in industrial environments, especially with respect to the instrumentation and control of sensors and devices using cloud technologies. Recently, industries have used machine-to-machine (M2M) communication to enable wireless automation and control. But with the emergence of cloud and allied technologies (such as analytics and machine learning), industries can achieve a new layer of automation and with it create new revenues and business models.

IoT BUSINESS BENEFITS

Accelerate innovation

Increase security

Turn information into actions with AI and ML

Scale differentiated solutions

Question?

IF THE WAY MACHINES COMMUNICATE IS CALLED IoT, HOW YOU CALL THE PHYSICAL OBJECT THAT HAS THE POSSIBILITY TO CONNECT TO ANOTHER MACHINE? (WE HAVE NOT LEARNED THIS YET)

ANSWER

CONCLUSION

The Internet of Things is an Internet application that has become rapidly popular in the last decade. The objective of the Internet of Things is the connection of different objects through an Internet platform and using things such as sensors to achieve information and interaction in real time, this has made it possible for us to have information such as the weather anywhere in the world, traffic in real time and, from the industrial side, production or the behavior of machines. What does the future hold for us with the Internet of Things?
