Over 133 days temperatures reached over 100 degrees drying out water supply and causing great heat risks to the animals and people of Pheonix.

The city of Phoenix has put multiple plans in effect like a Heat Response and Heat Mitigation programs aimed at protecting public saftey in the short term and in the long term creating strategties to improve thermal safety, comfort and quality of life.

Afghanistan is struggling greatly economically partly due to the harsh hot weather with little rain so agriculture can not happen. Also on a global scale due to global warming more and more hot spots are popping up and programs like in Pheonix will be more common throughout the world by 2050.
