CARACTERS:

Description of character

The leprechaun is a magical creature who wears a green suit and hat, and has a long, red beard.

Shaun is a tall, blond, and slim boy who works on a farm.

The farmer is a middle-aged man with a bad temper.

SETTING

TIME

We know that this story had to happen from the fourth century onwards because Leprechauns are part of the legends of Saint Patrick, which do not appear until this century

PLACE

The place is surely a farm in Ireland, which is where the legends of Leprechauns originate

The main idea is to teach British culture, transmitting values, moral teachings, and it's history and land.

Main idea of the book

Shaun is working but he's tired and falls asleep under a tree. When he wakes up, he finds the leprechaun cutting his hair, and the leprechaun tells him that he makes gold with the hair.

Shaun catches the leprechaun who was trying to escape and tells him that the gold belongs to him because it's his hair.

SUMMARY

CHAPTER 1

CHAPTER 2

Shaun manages to get the leprechaun to tell him where the gold is buried, but now he has to find a shovel to unearth it. Since all the bushes in the forest look alike, he decides to tie his yellow scarf to a branch to find it later and be able to dig it up.

The farmer finds Shaun not doing his chores and gets angry with him. Shaun gets his shovel, but when he goes to look for his yellow scarf to unearth his treasure, he discovers that the leprechaun has tricked him and has put many yellow scarves on different bushes, making it impossible for Shaun to find where the gold coins are buried.

SUMMARY

CHAPTER 4

I liked the book because I learned a little about British culture and it is very entertaining

General personal opinion

I LICKED ABOUT THE STORY

I DIDN´T LIKEABOUT THE STORY

I liked it because it's a very entertaining story with a surprising ending.

What I didn't like about the story is that in the end, the leprachaun Shaun.

THINGS

IF I HAD WRITTEN THE STORY.

If I had written the story, when Shaun is with the leprechaun in the bushes looking for the pot of gold coins, Shaun would have asked the leprechaun to do magic to get a shovel in exchange for sharing the pot with the coins, and both would have ended up happy.

Yes, because it's entertaining and you learn a bit about British culture.

No, because for some audiences it might seem childish.

What deserves a higher rating for me is the Leprechaun character, which I find very funny.

2

In second place is the way the story is told, which is simple and with an unexpected ending.

3

In third place, the illustrations stand out as very representative.

4

And in fourth place, the book overall is quite entertaining.
