During the mission of Apollo 11, a few minutes before the spaceship was about to land in the moon, the central computer stared overloading. Margaret then gave specific informations to the Astronauts crew to solve the problem based on the program that she personally wrote

From 1964 she's been engaged into the NASA at Stark Laboratory to start elaborate all the softwares necessary to the Apollo mission

Margaret Hamilton worked on new programs and hardwares, she also has founded the Higher Order Software where she developed the old programs that she created during her time at Apollo Project focusing on preventing computer errors during space operations

Finally in 1985 she created another society called Hamilton Technologies

Also she was engaged by the US Defense Program creating for them some specific programs to intercept eventual Russian missles on the National Territory

From 1960, Margaret has worked as a programmer for a company that elaborate data for weather conditions

After she moved to Boston she decided to continue her studies about Mathematics at Brandeis University.

Margaret Heafield Hamilton was born in Paoli in 1936. After her certificate at Hancock High school shw graduated in Mathematics and Philosophy at Earlham College.
