The beaver is also a symbol of Canada. There are many beavers in Canada. Beavers build dams in rivers and lakes. You can see the beaver on Canadian money and stamps. The beaver is a large, primarily nocturnal, semiaquatic rodent. Its scientific name is "Castor Canadensis" It is a mammal and it is a herbivore. Beavers use branches, stones and mud to build,d structures called dams.

Canada is in the northernmost part of the North America. The Canadian Flag is red and white. The maple is red. It is a symbol of Canada. You can also see the maple leaf on money and stamps.
