What is it used for?
Past unreal. conditionals allow speakers an opportunity to express an idea about an unreal past scenario.
What elements do you need to write an negative sentence of past unreal conditionals?
What elements do you need to write an affirmative sentence of past unreal conditionals?
STRUCTURE:If+ past perfect (condition)+ would not have+ past participle (result). EXAMPLE: "If he haden´t missed the train, he wouldn´t have been late for the meeting."
HERE´S THE STRUCTURE: If+ past perfect (condition)+, would have+ past participle(result). EXAMPLE: "If she had studied harder, she would have passed the exam"
