Inital Walkthrough
Upon our arrival we performed an inital walkthrough. At first glance, the living room seemed mostly unctouched, the bar area had a meal set out and overturned furniture, there were red stains on the floor leading from the bathroom (most likely blood), and a knife in the bathroom along with the body of the victim.

Body
I arrived on the scene and retrieved the body at 1531 on April 2nd , 2024. The victim appeared to
be around 40 years of age, white, & female. After careful examination, the manner of death was
ruled to be homicide from sharp force trauma. The cause of death was ruled to be
exsanguination. As for the body, three stab wounds were located on the individual’s left
shoulder. One being on the glenohumeral joint, and the other two being on the scapular spine. There was also a 2 inch incision on the palm of the left hand, reported as a defense wound. Livor mortis was present on the dorsal side of the body. The body also appeared to be fresh in stage 1 of decomposition.

Conclusions
After releasing the scene in 1548, the conclusion derived from the evidence is that there was an unexpected pregnancy that made the significant other of the victim murder the victim to cover up the pregnancy. After arriving on the scene, we conducted an initial sweep of the crime scene and established a perimeter. Entering the scene, passive red drops were leading away from the bathroom, where the victim was found in a pool of blood. In close proximity to the victim was found a knife that were tested with hemastixs that tested positive for the presence of blood. Furthermore, during the investigation, there were pregnancy tests found on the island between the bar and the front door. The room looked dismayed as the furniture was knocked over and food left out. The red stains were tested with hemastix as a presumptive test, and all the stains tested positive for blood. They were sealed in biohazard containers and sent for further testing in the lab. The rest of the evidence was collected to help establish a storyline and timeline of the events that took place.
