ROBOTICS
Robotics is a branch of engineering and computer science that involves the conception, design, manufacture and operation of robots. The objective of the robotics field is to create intelligent machines that can assist humans in a variety of ways. Robotics can take on a number of forms. A robot might resemble a human or be in the form of a robotic application, such as robotic process automation, which simulates how humans engage with software to perform repetitive, rules-based tasks.

OUR PROJECT
Mindstorm EV3 is a robot made up of lego pieces, assembled by us. The objective of this project was to create a program that would allow the robot, equipped with sensors, to move following a pre-established path.To write the code we used the Scratch online platform.

ROBOT THAT FOLLOWS LINES
HOW DOES IT WORK
A line follower robot is an electronic system that can detect and follow the line drawn on the floor. The line is specified a predefined path that can be either visible like a black line on a white surface with a high contrasted color. Light dependent resistor sensor has been attached with the robot whose resistance varies with light intensity.

Their advanced capabilities in navigation and handling contribute to faster and more accurate order fulfillment.Robots alleviate labor shortages and fulfill peak demands by augmenting the warehouse workforce. They seamlessly integrate into existing operations, ensuring continuity and efficiency in warehouse management.

OUR EXPERIENCE
ORIENTEERING IN GENERAL
During the orienteering we have had the role to welcome studentes from different schools. We explained them how we built and programmed the Mindstorm EV3 to do various tasks, like following a path defined by a black line in a white board, or deciding his velocity based on what color the sensor picked up (fast for the green, slow for the yellow and 0 with the red).

CONCLUSIONS
This experience gave us the opportunity to apply what we learned in school in real contexts, helping us to better understand how theoretical knowledge translates into practice. This activity also allowed us to develop soft skills such as problem solving, teamwork and time management.The research, collaboration, and dedication have culminated in a great work. We're grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this journey. Though our work here may be done, the knowledge gained and skills honed will continue to serve us well in future endeavors.
