Nearly all social services in the region have been destroyed by 60 yrs of civil war, and the church has stepped into this breach. This means our partnership with the Diocese of Kadugli has far-reaching impact in all dimensions of life in the Nuba Mts.

TODAY: Pax Dei for Nuba has helped connect other groups to support the persecuted church in the Nuba Mountains.

2016: Bishop Andudu's family joins Church of the Incarnation after receiving poltical asylum. +Andudu is Bishop-in-exile of the Anglican Diocese of Kadugli, on the southern border of Sudan.

Our partner

2020: the nonprofit Pax Dei for Nuba is formed by members of Incarnation. Pax Dei exists to oversee development of the mission partnership with Bishop Andudu and the Diocese of Kadugli.

Civil war refugee camp

• A fourth civil war erupted in April'23.
• 20 million people are starving (1/2 of the country).
• 8 million are displaced.
• ~340,000 of them have come to the Nuba Mts.
• Aid agencies have been evicted by the government.
• Only the Christian stand between these people and total starvation.

• 1930's-1960'sChristian faith thrives in Tobo County

• 1962-2011Islamic gov't bans Christianity
• 2011Islamic forces expelled by Nuba rebels

• 2023+Andudu leads peace building and trauma workshops; Sparks new interest in the ways of Jesus

Tobo County- An Open Door after 60 Years

By giving toward the $70,000 goal, you will help our partners take the gospel into Tobo County.

In February, 2024, the Diocese of Kadugli subivided into two dioceses (see map):1. The Diocese of Kadugli (west) 2. The new Diocese of Hiban (east) +Andudu's former priest, Rev. Elsir Hassan Kuku is Bishop over the new Diocese. Now there are 2 Bishops to care for the 140 churches in the region. Priests will be trained; Christians will grow; the gospel will continue to spread.

By helping us reach the $70,000 goal, you will help the Diocese of Hiban have a solid foundation with a 700-person cathedral and a compound out of which the Bishop Elsir will live and serve the Hiban region.
