THE VOICE

THE VOCAL INSTRUMENT. THE VOICE

The voice is the sound that the human body makes in the form of words or music.

The voice sounds when we activate the speech apparatus, located in the head and trunk: the lungs, the vocal cords, the cavities of the head and the mouth.

The voice control center is located in the larynx. The usual output of sound is the mouth, but sound also comes out of the nose.

The voice is important because it allows us to communicate, with words or by singing. Singing brings pleasure. Listen to the song, too.

NATURAL VOICE

The natural voice is the one that each of us has when we sing.

PROJECTED VOICE

The projected voice: - It is achieved by developing certain muscles. - It is necessary: - acquire power - increase lung capacity - strengthen the diaphragm - work the vocal cords - use resonators - amplifiers. - The voice can sound full and powerful. - The singers sing without a microphone and over the sound of a symphony orchestra, which also separates them from the public.

TRANSFORMATION OF THE VOICE

Our body changes and so does our voice.

The biggest changes occur during puberty.

Hormones: the larynx grows and the vocal cords lengthen: voice is deeper.

The change of voice from child to adult voice is more evident in boys, but also occurs in girls.

Healthy lifestyle, our stable voice.

Good conditions, avoid very cold drinks and do not force, especially in noisy places.

CONDUCTOR'S CHOIR FUNCTIONS

The conductor of a choir is the most important element.

Functions: - move your hands in front of a group of people singing. - select the repertoire of songs, - teach how they should be sung - sings as he wants.

Rehearsals: the nuances that a well-played score requires (pianos, stacattos, crescendos ...) are worked on and the tuning is worked on to be perfect at all times.

Concerts: it bears the rhythm and speed of the performance (coordination) and relies on facial expression (greater expressiveness of the pieces).

Conclusion: a choir is good, if it has a good conductor.
