Plasticity Disorders
WHat is the diagnosis for plasticity disorders?
Almost all neuroplasticity disorders are diagnosed through an evaluation of a patients' behavior alongside their complaints of pain because MRI's and blood tests cannot provide precise diagnostic results for neuroplasticity disorders.
The 3 common types of pain
The 3 most common attributes of pain associated with neuroplasticity disorders are physiological, pathological, and inflammatory pain.
What causes each type of pain?
Physiological pain is caused by pain from pain receptors from intact tissues (somatic and visceral).
Pathological pain is caused by pain from the central nervous system (peripheral and cranial nerves).
Inflammatory pain is caused by a mix of physiological and pathological pain. The causes are because of the stimulation and inflammation of various pain receptors by certain chemicals.
