Prevention & Treatment
REM sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD)
Insomnia
RBD cannot be treated, but its effects can be lessened with medication. Also, it's recommended by doctors to put some physical safeguards, such as removing sharp objects near the bed, placing barriers on the sides of the bed and padding the floor near the bed.
If you only have acute insomnia you may not need to prevent it or treat it, it normally goes away in a month. If not (called chronic insomnia), then it probably cannot be cured fully, though there are medications to prevent it and also a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Narcolepsy
You cannot prevent Narcolepsy, and treatment is only temporary.
