How to survive your first day in a new class, school, university, office, workplace...

1. Why do people get nervous when they start a new job?2. What advice/tips would you give to someone who is starting a new activity (studies or work) to make their first day go well? Think of two tips: -Do___________________________ -Don't_________________________

We use the gerund:

As a noun (e.g. the subject or object of a sentence Smoking is not good for your health.

After some verbs like `enjoy, like, hate, love, etc. I enjoy going for a walk in the afternoon. I hate getting up early.

After prepositions. I´m thinking of buying a new car. I always feel tired after doing exercise.
