1. MIGRANTS

Ahmed is a migrant worker who has come from Morocco. He needs to apply for a longer permit to visit his sick mother in Morocco, but he feels insecure due to previous comments and behaviors he perceives as unfavorable towards migrants at his position.

Ahmed

Raúl is the Human Resources manager at the factory. He often tends to be inflexible and strict with leave policies, and in this case, he is faced with the decision of approving or not the permit Ahmed requests, despite the personal circumstances Ahmed has presented.

Character: Juan Juan is a machinery operator at the factory. He is Ahmed's colleague, and shows annoyance and dissatisfaction with the possibility of Ahmed receiving a longer permit than the rest of the workers

Carlos is an assembly line worker. Although he works next to Ahmed, he has a negative attitude and mistrusts the privileges that, in his opinion, Ahmed might receive.

Laura is a colleague of Ahmed at the factory. She has mixed opinions about Ahmed's permit request, as she worries about his sick mother, but also fears that it may set a precedent that harms other workers.

1. GENDER

Laura is a machine operator at the factory. She is openly lesbian and needs to ask Human Resources for permission to attend an important medical appointment, but feels apprehensive due to previous comments and behaviors she perceives as unfavorable towards women and the LGBT+ community at her position.

Pedro is a work colleague of Laura. He is gay but has decided to keep it a secret at work due to the work climate. Although he respects Laura as a colleague, he shows indifference to her situation, based on deep-seated gender biases.

Maria is a friend and work colleague of Laura. She becomes outraged upon learning Raúl's response and decides to support Laura in her claim, while confronting her own fears of being treated similarly in the future.

Juan is a work colleague of Laura and often makes sexist and homophobic comments. He sees thedenial of the permit as a validation of his prejudices and feels threatened by any change in the existing gender dynamics at work.

Carmen is Laura's supervisor. She is an ally of the LGBT+ community. She empathizes with Laura's situation but finds herself in a difficult position trying to balance team harmony and justice for Laura.
