COMPARING TWO PEOPLE, PLACES, THINGS, ETC

ADJECTIVES

We use comparative adjectives to say how TWO or MORE THINGS, PEOPLE,PLACES are DIFFERENT.

We use supertlative adjectives to say that something is AT THE TOP or AT THE BOTTOM OF A GROUP.

adj-e+ -r (+than) large larger

the + adj-e+ -st large the largest

the + adj-vowel+consonant (x2)+ -est (+than) big the biggest

adj-vowel+consonant (x2)+ -er (+than) big bigger

(end in 1 vowel & 1 consonant)

the adj-y+ -ist tasty the tastiest

adj-y+ -ier (+than) tasty tastier

A homemade burger tastes the same as a restaurant burger if you use fresh ingredients.

ADVERBS
