VC Comparison

Start

To uphold our commitment to being customers FIRST CHOICE, it's imperative that we differentiate ourselves through exceptional quality. To do this, we periodically benchmark our products against those of our competitors. Our most recent comparison involved key competitors Nuie and My Life, focusing on our best-selling items from the Bathrooms to Love range: Cilantro, Tilia, and Cedarwood. We're thrilled to present our findings. Before we start, it’s worth highlighting that it’s nearly impossible to make a ‘perfect piece of pottery’ but PJH do work hard with our manufacturers to produce VC to amazing standards. To learn more about this take some time to look at our product resource learning on ELSA.

Uneven sides

It doesn’t stop there, you can see on these images above, how uneven the sides are on Freya, we have placed an image of Cilantro as a comparison.

We also found Freya to be bowed along one edge of the pan, as you can see below, when compared to the nice straight and even edges of Cilantro.

We finish on the spigot, this is something that most customers wouldn’t even consider, but ultimately determines whether the toilet will be water tight. These are the two spigots side by side. The Cilantro on the right is nice, round, and even around the edge where the Freya has uneven surface on the top, as you can see here, this should be smooth to ensure a good seal.

Over to the seat

Over to the seat, to perfectly coordinate with the pan, Cilantro features a stylish, bright white acrylic seat, whereas Freya's seat appears bulkier and lacks colour coherence with the pan. Furthermore, the fit of Freya's seat on the pan is subpar, it over hangs the pan slightly, even with adjustment. It’s the small things that make a big difference, Cilantro offers quick release toilet seat hinges where Freya doesn’t.
