This massive population of Mexicali has increased in 60 years in proportion to the number of manufacturing industries whereas in Calexico both population and industries are stable.

Calexico is a city situated in southern california on the Mexican border, it is linked economically with the much larger city of Mexicali, the capital of the Mexican state of Baja California. It is about 122 miles (196 km) east of San Diego and 62 miles (100 km) west of Yuma, Arizona.

Mexicali A city with many different aspects.

Mexicali is a city of entertainment where artists live, which welcolmes many inhabitants of Calexico. Just like recreation, US citizens are dependent on Mexicali for its industries, it is the NIMBY effect (Not In My Back Yard). These have knock-on effect on both populations such as poor air quality that cause breathing issues, treated differently from either side of the wall.
