Regular verbs

To have
When do we use "have"and when do we use "be"?
To be
Past simple
How to use it?
Past participle
Past participle are used together with an auxiliary verb: to be or to have, but not with to do. It is important to take into account that the auxiliary verb which are used with past participles add meaning to the sentence in relation to the time when the action defined by the main verb took place and to the person who perform it in the case of the present perfect. For example: Hemos pintado la casa ( We have painted the house): Hemos indica que la acción se ha realizado no hace mucho y que la hemos pintado entre varias personas inclyuendome a mí. No habías llegado cuando llamé ( You hadn't arrived when I called) : Habías indica que la acción paso hace algún tiempo y que era la persona con la que hablo la que no había llegado.
These group of verbs do not follow the “-ed” rule to form the past forms. In their case there is a list which include the past simple and the past participle. These two forms can: - coincide with the basic form of the verb. - be the same for both past forms. - be different from each other.
In this case we only have to use the past form of the verb together with the subject. We only need to take into account if the verb is regular or irregular. - Yesterday night Anna arrived very late home - Last month I wrote a letter to a friend of mine
The passive voice is formed by using a form of the auxiliary verb “be” (be, am, is, are, was, were, being, been) followed by the past participle of the main verb. The little kid is loved by her parents. La Celestina was written by Fernando de Rojas
To HAVE is used when we are creating a complex verb which needs the Spanish “HABER”.
Which are the present and past forms of HAVE?
Antonio ha comido ————-> Antonio has eaten Antonio había comido———> Antonio had eaten
To create a participle it is only needed to add the ending "-ed" to the basic form of the verb. Travel--> travelled It coincides with the past simple. So, in these verbs we only have two forms the basic form and the past form of the verb.
