Here's a simple way to remember: - At for specific times and events. - On for days and dates. - In for larger, more general periods.

LET'S DO SOME PRACTICE

  • Used with days and dates:
We have a meeting on Monday. Her birthday is on the 5th of June. What did you do on the weekend? The concert is on Saturday night.
  • Used with specific days:
We have a holiday on Christmas Day. The party is on New Year's Eve. The event is scheduled on Valentine's Day. We're going to the beach on Labor Day.
  • Used for specific times:
I have a meeting at 9 o'clock.I woke up at 5 a.m.The movie starts at 8 p.m.
  • Used for holidays and festivals:
We will have a family dinner at Thanksgiving.The concert is at Easter.Children receive gifts at Christmas.
