Role Description

As an intern my responsibilities were: assist in creating and curating engaging, on-brand content, conduct market research, collaborate with the marketing team, design visually appealing graphics, ensure brand consistency, collaborate with stakeholders to provide creative ideas, proofread and edit content, track and analyze campaigns, use analytic tools, provide recommendations and new strategies, communicate effectively with team members, keep the social media calendar up to date, and participate in brainstorming sessions.

Using the same dimensions from May, I designed the promos so we could send the over to our new vendors, to print.

My boss provided me the layout, and I was tasked with coming up with the content ideas.

My boss told me her invision and I made it come to life. I drew the whole line art drawing and decided what colors to make the design.

My boss provided me the dimensions for the layout, and I designed all the coupons, with a little help picking out the backgrounds.

My boss provided the dimensions for the layout, and I designed, printed, and cutted all of the promotions.

I chose the dimensions for the posts and then created the content. My boss helped me perfect the posts.

The Brady Hotel design is not finalized, but the employee appreciation one has already been posted to Facebook.

Internship Experience

My internship expeirence has exceeded my expectations because it provided me with so many different insights into the world of marketing. I could not have asked for a better internship experience because the environment I have been surrounded by has allowed me to learn and grow exponentially. With that being said, my internship experience has reinforced my choice of major in many ways. Throughout the internship some key factors that reinforced by decision were: These reasons are only a few reasons of why my internship process has reinfoced me about my choice of major.

My academic coursework has provided me with fundamental skills and knowledge that has contributed to my success in my internship. For example, taking my core classes and any course related to marketing has equipped me with solid strategies and key concepts about the field. Taking the core classes and any relevant marketing class helped me understand the practical applications of marketing which is why I was able to excel like I did in my internship.

With that being said, my internship experience has provided me the real-world insights and applications that have enriched my academic courseowrk. Being able to work hands on and in the field has allowed me to apply concepts and theories that i have learned in the classroom to real-life scenarios. Overall, working hands on has allowed me to understand the process of marketing and provided me with new practical skills.

Did I Meet My Goal?

I feel like I met my goal that I set for myself because I provided my team members a lot of motivation when it came to big, overwhelming projects, and I was able to provide my individuals skills to help meet the end objective. My boss also looked up to me when it came to big overwhelming projects because she knew my skills would be useful.

Did I Meet My Goal?

I feel like I did make progress when it comes to the goal I set, but I did not quite meet it. I say this because my work enviroment was very laid back, since they try to treat each other like family. The only time we really were professional was when we were emailing other clients and vendors, or on meetings with them. Although, I delivered clear and concise messages, I feel like I could have been more professional.

I definitely meet the goal I set because I showed strong organization skills, effective time management, and a great approach to completing tasks, which all involves productivity and professionalism.

I feel like I exceeded my goal because I actively particiapted in every brainstorm session I attended. At WOCO the brainstorm sessions are what we go to meetings for, so we can throw ideas off of each other. Within these meetings, I would throw out many design ideas, and ideas on where to put signage.

I feel like I did not meet the goal I set because I did not try to seek any conversations with individuals who have different backgrounds. I was more focused on all the tasks I was given to make sure I was fullfilling the needs of my boss.
