Galileo Galilei nasce a Pisa nel 1564 ed è stato un fisico, astronomo, filosofo, matematico e scrittore italiano, considerato il padre della scienza moderna.

Uno dei personaggi chiave della rivoluzione scientifica per aver esplicitamente introdotto il metodo scientifico, il suo nome è associato a importanti contributi in fisica e in astronomia.

Un uomo e una donna davanti alla luna è un dipinto romantico realizzato nel 1820 dal pittore Caspar David Friedrich.

Viene considerato una delle più importanti rappresentazioni della pittura romantica tedesca sviluppatasi nel primo Ottocento.

Il quadro vuole fare riflettere sul destino di solitudine dell'uomo. La funzione del dipinto è appunto quella di trasmettere il pessimismo del pittore e di far riflettere l'osservatore.

Il pittore Caspar David Friedrich ha fatto di questa immagine diverse varianti e copie, che sono ancora oggi conservate.

Il Big Bang
