Making a Selection

Select one or multiple fields and understand the Selection Menu

Make a Single Selection

Many Visualizations like bar and pie charts are interactive. Follow the tooltips to make a selection in the sheet

Notice that the other visualizations responded to that selection and updated their records to only show information having to do with your selection.

Once again, the information updated with your selection. You can make as many selections as youd like, depending on the level of granularity you are trying to achieve.

Using a Filter

Use your knowledge of selections to navigate the filter interface

Make a Single Selection

Click on the Fiscal Year filter to view possible selections

Select a Single Value

A dropdown appears to show all available values. You can select one or more values to filter the data on the whole application. For filters with a lot of information, use the search box to look for values

Clicking the green check mark makes will update this selection in the selections menu.

Navigate to the Next Sheet

Navigate to the next sheet to view the selection on the other sheet. Most of the time, selections are application wide.

The selection is still valid for the new sheet. Filters are an easy way to make selections without having to use the selections menu.
