Greenhouse Effect

WHAT IS THE COP?

Pollution

The main cause of the increase in the effect is the uncontrolled release of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. These substances reach the atmosphere through human activity, from the use of spray cans to intensive agriculture, to urban development. The abuse of fossil fuels has indeed led to a huge amount of CO2 emissions, one of the most important gas. Another determining factor for the greenhouse effect is deforestation, as the disappearance of forests and plants reduces the ability of trees to absorb CO2.

Air Pollution

the causes of air pollution are cars, industries, fossil fuels(which are non-renewable energy sources) and forest fires

Causes:
Water pollution

Soil pollution

It is sometimes caused by nature, such as when mercury filters from the Earth's crust, polluting oceans, rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs. the most common cause of pollution of water is human activity

Phenomena like erosion, loss of organic carbon, increased salt content, compacting, acidification and chemical pollution are the major causes of current soil pollution. Moreover, the FAO distinguishes between two types of soil pollution: Specific pollution: made by particular causes, and they are in small areas, for this reasons they can can be easily identified.Land pollution like this is normally found in cities, old factory sites, around roads, dumps and sewage treatment stations. Widespread pollution: covers extensive areas and has a lot of causes and this is the reasons for which they are difficult to identify. Cases like these involve the spreading of pollutants by air-ground-water systems and affect human health and the environment. Among the most common causes of soil contamination caused by human activity.

CO2

CO2 is the main cause of pollution and is also considered a greenhouse gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect, a natural phenomenon ruined by human activities. It is naturally present in the atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere and has caused another phenomenon: ozone depletion.

Noise Pollution

How reduce Pollution

Causes:

Industrialization: Industrialization has led to an increase in noise pollution due to the use of heavy machinery such as generators and mills, resulting in noise production. Vehicles: The increase in the number of vehicles on roads is the second leading cause of noise pollution. Events: Weddings and public gatherings involve the use of loudspeakers to play music, resulting in noise production in the neighborhood. building construction increases noise pollution.

What is the COP?

The COP is the supreme decision-making body of the Convention. All states that are parties to the Convention are represented in the COP, which reviews the implementation of the Convention. Moreover a key task for the cop is to rewiew the national communications and emission inventories submitted by parties. The COP meets every year and the first COP meeting was in Berlin,Germany in March in 1995. The COP meets is in Bonn, the seat of the secretariat. The COP Presidency rotates among five regions ,indeed, Africa, Asia,Latin America and the Caribbean, central and Eastern Europe.

Effects of water pollution

Destruction of biodiversity. Water pollution depletes aquatic ecosystems and triggers unbridled proliferation of phytoplankton in lakes — eutrophication —. Contamination of the food chain. Fishing in polluted waters and the use of waste water for livestock farming and agriculture can introduce toxins into foods which are harmful to our health when eaten. Lack of potable water. The UN says that billions of people around the world have no access to clean water to drink or sanitation, particularly in rural areas. Disease. The WHO estimates that about 2 billion people have no option but to drink water contaminated by excrement, exposing them to diseases such as cholera, hepatitis A and dysentery. Infant mortality. According to the UN, diarrhoeal diseases linked to lack of hygiene cause the death of about 1,000 children a day worldwide.

Effect of Air pollution

Air pollution affects all things. It is harmful to our health, and it impacts the environment by reducing visibility and blocking sunlight, causing acid rain, and harming forests, wildlife, and agriculture. Greenhouse gas pollution, the cause of climate change, affects the entire planet.

one effect caused by air pollution is the ozone hole caused by c.f.c., or chlorofluorocarbons, which are thinning the Ozone layer in the atmosphere

Effects of Greenhouse effect

The consequences of the greenhouse effect are various for example: climate change, rising temperatures, melting glaciers and so also rise seas, heat waves and many periods of drought, and increment of desert areas in the world but desert areas are create by the shifting of sand a cause of wind.
