Life Cycle of Sea Turtle

Hatchling

This phase is when the baby turtles inside the eggs start to peck the eggshell in order to be free and see light of the day. After getting out, they start to learn how to survive on their own, as their mother isn’t there to guide them. Since they have no guardian, a hatchling growing into a juvenile is a special occurrence.

Sea Turtle Eggs

Turtles lay eggs when reproducing their offspring. The mother turtles dig holes and lay their eggs in safe nests which protects the eggs from being seen by predators. Most eggs hatch in about three months. These eggs are quite similar to those that we’re familiar with, except that they are rather softer in texture.
