Create a Map of Action of the play. Include illustrations and comments to identify at least 7 details from the play.

Map of Action!

Powerful Event:

Choose an event from the play which you find to be powerful. Write a personal reflection poem OR write song lyrics that reflect the meaning(s) you find. Explain with 1 page, including three references to the scene, and relevant characters, how this song/poem speaks for the dramatic moment you have chosen.

Interview

Interview a character from the play. Write down 5 questions you would ask and 5 answers the character would give based on his/her actions and dialogue in the play.

Creative

Create an artistic representation (drawing, sculpture, collage) that includes at least three, clearly written, relevant pieces of text from the play.

Relatable?

Find a newspaper or magazine article on a current or recent corruption-related or relationship issue. Write a personal response to this from the viewpoint of one of the characters from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Response should be about 1 page.

Analyze and graph it

Analyze any conflict that any character undergoes within him/herself. Create a graphic organizer to categorize and link the influences, desires, and beliefs operating in his/her mind throughout the play. Use scene and line numbers as references.

Perform

Develop and perform an original monologue for one character that includes information from the play and extends it. What are the daily habits and concerns of this character that would make him/her respond in this play as he/she does? This monologue should be at least 2 minutes long and leave us understanding the character better. (This can be a video submission or live)

Translate it into "modern".

Create a 1 page modern translation of important dialogue in the play. Write a one paragraph reflection on what resources you used and what challenged you when writing a translation.
