Objective

The goal of this project is to explore how climate change threatens the survival of plants and animals globally, raising awareness about these risks. Understanding these dangers helps us realize the urgency of tackling climate change and finding ways to reduce its impact.

What you should know about it?

Climate change means the Earth's weather is getting wonky because people are doing things that make the air dirty. This makes the planet warmer, which causes problems like hotter temperatures, more floods, and big storms.

Primary contributors

The main things causing climate change are:

Trash and waste

Using Fossil Fuels

Cutting Down Trees

Farming

Some farming practices release gases that make climate change worse.

When we chop down forests, there are fewer trees to absorb pollution.

Burning coal, oil, and gas for energy gives off lots of pollution.

Landfills produce methane, a powerful greenhouse gas.

Actions to prevent global warming

How to stop climate change

1. Reduce energy consumption

Use energy-efficient appliances and lighting.

2. Transition to renewable energy sources

Invest in solar panels or wind turbines for home energy production.

3. Promote energy consevation

Practice carpooling, biking, or using public transportation instead of driving alone.

4. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Minimize waste by choosing reusable products and packaging.

5. Conserve water

Fix leaks and use water-efficient appliances to reduce water waste.

6. Support sustainable agriculture

Choose locally grown and organic foods when possible.

7. Plant Trees and Preserve Forests

Participate in tree planting initiatives to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Both flora and fauna face numerous threats, including habitat destruction, pollution and climate change. Global warming poses significant risks to both plant and animal species worldwide. Rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, sea level rise, and extreme weather events can directly impact their survival and distribution. For example, shifts in temperature and precipitation regimes can disrupt plant flowering and fruiting cycles, alter animal migration patterns, and lead to habitat loss and fragmentation.
