"Limited But Open-Minded"
18 months of collaborative work are over.
It was a project that proved to be an opportunity for teachers and students.
Teachers developed collaborative and linguistic skills, as well as pedagogical and digital skills.
For the students, it contributed to the construction of young people as active citizens by promoting activities to raise awareness of the importance of following a healthy and balanced diet, exercising and relaxing, protecting the environment, creating ideal conditions for the development of plants and animals. Transversely, it also contributed to the development of communication and linguistic skills.

1.Getting to know each other
One of the ways of getting to know each other, in order to overcome cultural and language barriers, were various types of games.
2. Cultural heritage
Aims: - to promote the open-minded attitude towards other cultures by getting to know the European heritage.
eTwinning club
After visiting and collecting information about the various monuments, the students built a joint digital presentation about the two cities: Lublin and Santarém.

Culinary Heritage
The food workshops were prepared during Portuguese mobility in Lublin in March 2023. International students teams: Polish, Portuguese, Ukrainians prepared typical regional snack-cebularz.

On the last day of the Polish mobility to the Alexandre Herculano school, we organized the Food Workshop – Traditional Portuguese Snack – “Peixinhos da Horta” which was guided by Emiliana Lira, cake designer.
Traditional Games
Regarding intangible heritage, we did research on the traditional games of each country. On Google slides we created a presentation where students shared the traditional games they knew.
The Tradition Box
The traditional box aim was to boost students' curiosity about our culture and habits. So in order to stimulate the dialogue and the understanding upon what our cultural heritage means the challenge was set: each student should look for a small item to send to the partner school.
Aims: - to promote a healthy lifestyle after experiencing distance learning, - to cooperate in groups, including international ones, - to overcome language barriers, - to develop students’ and teachers’ language competence

At the Alexandre Herculano school, we organized the workshop "Introduction to soapmaking" for students to learn how to make soap. So, the students learned how to make soap with used oil (from fried foods). They also learned how to make body cream and toothpaste.
