SPEAKING ASSESSMENT PATHWAY

In this pathway we will

examine, in detail, the criteria for assessing students' speaking performance.

see authentic samples produced by BRITÁNICO students.

see how a standardized approach can be applied to assessing speaking performance and why a particular band is awarded.

ZARINA SUBHAN

Over 30 years of experience as a teacher and teacher educator. Skilled in: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages; training language teachers; directing teams in the fields of education and development; materials writing and editing. Strong media and communication skills with a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Leicester. Trained in facilitation skills by the VSO Training Department in the UK. An approved trainer of the Oxford Teacher's Academy course for the Professional Development Department of Oxford University Press.

DEADLINE: April 11th.

All teachers who register are automatically admitted to the course. Participants will receive a welcoming email on April 15th.

Teachers who successfully complete the activities in the Speaking Assessment Pathway will receive a certificate issued by OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS and BRITÁNICO.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must attend both webinars with a minimum of 72 minutes (80% of the session) per zoom encounter.

Each exercise will have two attempts and the attainment is 70% only for post-webinar tasks.

The final task is also mandatory to get the certificate.

All platform activities are mandatory.
