Code Name: Frozen Eagle

A Cold War Escape Room

Congratulations on becoming a part of the CIA. It's 1950, and your first mission abroad is to the Soviet Union. You must get in, gather the needed information, and get out as quick as you can. Avoid suspicion at all costs.Your contact in the USSR is "IVAN." He'll help you along the way.

Just outside the airport, you are stopped by a strange man. He thinks he recognizes you, and you wonder if this is "IVAN."

After confirming your identity, "IVAN" takes you to a cafe, run by undercover Americans. He hands you a letter that's entirely in code.

STOP HERE UNTIL YOU'VE FINISHED THE CODED MESSAGE

Outside the cafe, "IVAN" gives you the location of where to collect more information. He says if you've been paying attention, you'll know the password.

"IVAN" explains your next piece of information is somewhere on this map and gives you the following clues:

  • You'll need to change trains.
  • It has the best of both worlds.
  • It has more vowels than consonants.

After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, a stranger bumps into as you leave the train station. He drops a piece of paper, but takes off before you can return it to him.

You notice the appearance of letters as you fold the paper to put in your pocket.

You arrive at your hotel, ready for rest, but find your key doesn't work. Just as you're about to go back to the front desk, you hear from behind the door, "What's the password?"

(Once you've entered your response, you're finished.)
