Ai piedi del Duna di Pilat e di fronte al Punta di Cap Ferret, il Banc d'Arguin cambia continuamente forma con i venti e le correnti marine. Arguin ospita una moltitudine di uccelli che fanno i loro piccoli nella sabbia, motivo per cui non devi entrare nella “zona di protezione integrale” » che è legato da una corda e per riportare con te i tuoi rifiuti.

Partenza dalla penisola di Furetto Lege-Cap per una passeggiata di una ventina di minuti o dal porto o dal Thiers d'pierArcachon per circa 1 ora in mare, anche per gli appassionati di navigazione è possibile noleggia una barca per il giorno.
Oltre ad essere magnifico e selvaggio, il Banc d'Arguin è anche un'area di sosta protetta per molti uccelli migratori. Se ci andate in primavera e in estate, potrete vedere il Sterna Caugek, piccoli gabbiani con la testa di colore nero o la beccaccia di mare. Il Banc d'Arguin è sorvegliato dalle guardie SEPANSO: non sono ammessi bivacchi e cani.
