Conventional sportswear lacks interactive elements and customisation choices. Fitness enthusiasts and athletes often have trouble with finding products that fit to their specific requirements, preferences, and performance objectives (Varshney, 2020). due to a lack of personalised solutions, users might experience a sense of detachment from their equipment and fail to take advantage on potential improvements.

Nike can offer personalised, engaging experiences that improve performance, get users more involved, and build brand loyalty by putting sensors and smart technology into its sportswear. IoT-enabled sportswear gives athletes and fitness fans real-time feedback on performance data, personalised training suggestions, and health and wellness information. This helps them make the most of their workouts and reach their goals. IoT also gives Nike the chance to grow its community by teaming up with technology companies, platform developers, and health and fitness apps. This way, Nike can give customers a more seamless and connected experience across all of its touchpoints. Overall, IoT helps Nike stay on the cutting edge of new ideas in the sportswear business and keep being a star in sports technology and performance.

Conventional sportswear often provides little to no real-time feedback on measurements of performance or biometric data. Users might not be able to improve their performance or avoid injuries as well if they don't have real-time information.

The costs of implementation may outweigh the benefits of implementation especially considering the rapidly evolving nature of tech and market dynamics Security Concerns Personal details and biometric data are just some of the sensitive data that IoT devices gather and send. its essential strong cybersecurity means are in place to keep this data safe from people who shouldn't have access to it, breaches, or improper use, which could hurt NIKE's reputation and land them in legal trouble. Improved Customer Engagment By providing smart items that give real-time feedback and personalised recommendations, IoT allows Nike to communicate with customers on a deeper level. Customer satisfaction and engagement are both enhanced as a result.Market Insights with IoT embedded devices NIKE can gather useful information on consumer habits, preferences, and interests. Nike may use this data to guide strategic decisions and product development by gaining actionable insights into customer trends, market demands, and performance of products. Health Focus IoT enabled sportswear will allow Nike to broaden its product line to include health and wellness offerings in addition to its conventional athletic apparel. NIKE can now brand that they are implementing this new smart sportswear line to encourage and support individuals in leading better lives through the use of smart goods that track biometric data, offer fitness insights, and encourage active lifestyles. A wide range of athletes depend on external gadgets, such as fitness monitors or GPS watches, to track and analyse their performance parameters, including the distance, tempo, and their heart rate.
