Stereotypes in relation to news.
1. Women prefer reading about lifestyle and entertainment, while men prefer hard news like politics and economics. 2. Some stereotypes are reflected on media, just look the advertisements. Boys playing with cars, girls playig with dolls. 3. In the past there were more male journalist than female journalist? Does a job have gender? 4. Have you ever noticed that in some newspapers or magazines, there are more articles written by men than women? 5. When we open a sports newspaper how many news are dedicated for men and how many for women? 6. Have you seen in the old movies who was reading the newspaper? The man or the woman? Why? 7.Men and women have diversity of interests, there are not specific topics depending on the gender.
