John F. Kennedy (1961-1963)
He was a young and energetic President. He gave speeches that made people feel hopeful about the future. Unfortunately, he was shot and killed while he was President, which made many people sad.
Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909)
He was a strong and adventurous President. He liked exploring and protecting nature. He created special places called national parks to save land and animals. He also helped make sure that companies followed fair rules, so everyone could have a fair chance to succeed.
Ronald Reagan (1981-1989)
He was a President who wanted to make America strong and successful. He had ideas about how to make the economy better and also helped to end a big fight between America and another country called the Soviet Union.
Abraham Lincoln (1861-1865)
He was the President during a very difficult time when America had a big fight called the Civil War. He wanted to make sure everyone was treated fairly, so he made a special rule to free slaves in some parts of the country.
Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809)
He was very smart and helped write a special paper called the Declaration of Independence, which said that America wanted to be its own country, separate from Britain. He also bought a big piece of land called Louisiana, which made America much bigger.
