El clima es mediterráneo, con inviernos suaves y relativamente lluviosos, y veranos calurosos y soleados.

El territorio
El territorio de la región es árido, en la parte occidental de la región se encuentra la montaña más alta, el Monte Los Obispos (2.015 metros) en el macizo de Revolcadores.
La zona central de la región, la llamada Huerta, es en cambio llana y intensamente cultivada.

Es una fortaleza construida sobre una roca a 149 metros sobre el nivel del mar con una estatua de 14 metros arriba llamada estatua del cristo redentor
En época cristiana era considerada la plaza del mercado, donde se desarrollaban las principales actividades comerciales.
Fue construido en 1847 como un lujoso lugar de entretenimiento para la clase adinerada de la ciudad.
La Catedral de Santa María de Murcia
El campanario tiene 95 metros de altura y está considerado el más alto de España después de la Giralda de la Catedral de Sevilla.
