Using the steps of the writing process, students write a personal narrative about a real experience from their lives. The narrative should be about a a goal they reached or a challenge they had to overcome. Their narrative should be written from a first-person point of view. It must be a true story with a clear beginning, middle, and end. Their narrative should be at least five paragraphs long.

ONCE UPON A TIME...

A hook expertly draws the reader in. The order is clear. The writing flows expertly from one idea to the next to tell a story.
