• They´re native to South America.
• It is the largest and heaviest living rodent in the world.
• Its length can be from 1.1 meters to 1.3 meters.
• They can weigh from 35 to 66 kg.
• They can be 50 to 62 cm high.

Capybaras are found in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, Northeast Argentina and Uruguay.

what does capybaras eat?

• An adult capybara can eat 2.7 to 3.6 kg of fresh grass a day.
• They also eat their own poop, which contains beneficial bacteria that helps their stomach..
• During the dry season or in drought conditions, capybaras will also eat grains, melons, reeds and squashes.

Capybaras are fantastic swimmers, but they´re also extremly agile on land.

Capybaras can dive and stay underwater for up to 5 minutes falling asleep in the water whilst keeping their nose at the edge of the banks.

Capybaras like to express themselves by purring, barking, cackling, whistling, squealing, whining, grunting and even teeth-chattering—depending on what they’re trying to communicate.
