Thank for joining me!
- Be broken down into smaller groups of 4
- Expected to complete multiple dishes per chef
- Students are alloted time to work cooperativly on plated dishes
Student groups of 24 will come together for 15 days to master the skills of pork, lamb, & game cookery. In this lab students will:
Cooking Lab details
- Menu must have a theme
- Menus must contain 3 appetizers, 5 entres, and 4 desserts
- Bonus: Drink Menu with 3 options
- Must share and interact with 2 other group projects
- Each student must bring 2 outside menus as examples
25 students will participate in this online Menu Design class. Students will work in smaller groups with the help of Chef to create a themed menu of their choice.
Online Class Details
Students will work with a certified Chef instructor to complete this menu project. Students must also bring outside menus for inspiration.

Learning in this setting is unintentional, which is called legitimate peripheral participation.The learner moves from the perimeter of the community to the center as they gains expertise. They are able to engage and participate actively in the sociocultural practices of the community

How can STL be used Educational Technoloy?
Situated learning involves learners in cooperative activities where they are challenged to use critical thinking and tactile learning abilities.
- Students will start with basic knowledge and work together with chef to aquire the expertise skill of cooking!
In the cooking labs, students work with their group members to complete differnt dishes. Students will learn from each other and Chef to prep all plate components, manage time, style food, and participate in a professional kitchen.
