Introduction

In Bob Dylan's song "Blowing in the wind" you can see how the singer asked questions about life, existence and war, in fact he wonders howlong the cannon balls will have to fly before they are banned. According to Dylan the answer to this questions goes away in the wind and therefore a pessimistic view can be noticed because it is not known if these questions will be accepted by someone. In the song "Against the wind" one of the main themes is that of the end of a love. This youthiful love went against the current like the wind. In the second verse the protagonist speaks instead of the fact that he found himself alone and away from home surrounded by foreignes who he tought were is friends and this, he finds refuge against the wind. Although the year have passed, the protagonist continues to run against the wind. This song was released in 1963.
