& Commitment to Action

One idea I have pulled from the book Hacking School Libraries is a maker cart. I have applied for a grant to provide the supplies needed for it. I also applied for a grant to help with sinage as I attempt to genrefy the nonfiction section next year, which was another suggestion from the book.

Reflection

I was not as successful at attending PLCs as I had hoped I would be. It became difficult to meet with them due to schedule conflicts and I also had library aides that I could not leave alone in the library in order to attend PLCs. I was able to successfully meet with Mrs. Peabody to implement the active floor into her Exam Reviews.

December

Mrs. Peabody and I collaborated to create an engaging semester exam review for Texas History using the Active Floor. It was a great success!Shortly after, the active floor was featured on the school announcements and in a video with Superintendent Katie Cordel.
