CREATION OF THE JETS

1. rIFF CONVINCE TONY

The first apparition of Tony.He is invited to go to a party. He refuse but Riff insist. "For me! For Riff!" - "I risk to regret this" - "Who knows ?! Maybe what you're waiting for will be dancing at the dance tonight !" - "Who knows" He end up accepting. -> The meeting of Maria and Tony.

In a sudden fit of anger, Tony takes Riff's knife and avenges his death by stabbing Bernardo.

Bernardo and Riff agree to fight to settle who's better. The following night, the Jets and the Sharks meet for the fight. Tony arrives and attempts to stop it. Unwilling to see Tony humiliated, Riff steps in and slugs Bernardo. Tony again tries to stop the fight, pulling Riff away as he is about to finally stab Bernardo in the back but Riff breaks away and charges again, only to be stabbed in the ribs by Bernardo. Riff falls dead.

2. riff's death

Maria and Tony plan to leave the city.The authorities forces Maria to put the plan on hold. She sends Anita to explain the situation to Tony, but Anita's attempt ends in harassment from the Jets. Furious, she tells them that Chino killed Maria. Tony learns what Anita said and, in distress, yells at Chino to kill him too. Vengeful Chino shoots Tony, killing him. Tony's death comes in despair after the death of his friend and the though of the death of Maria. For him, the only way to be united with Maria is in death. - as it is for Romeon and Juliet.
