Gender and Education in Peru
Since the 1990s, public policies begin to incorporate the gender approach based on international mandates and regulatory devices that gradually became national policies, along with other processes such as the modernization of public management.

In Peru, women are less likely to work, and to work full-time, for a salary. Instead, they tend to spend more hours caring for children and elderly relatives, doing housework, shopping for groceries, etc..
Gender gaps in Peru
Peru is considered a developing country, and access to education has been a challenge in some areas. However, there were going to be initiatives and programs aimed at improving access to education for all citizens
These efforts were going to focus on reducing disparities in educational opportunities and enhancing the quality of education across the country.
The government and various organizations were going to invest in infrastructure, teacher training, and educational resources to ensure that more Peruvians have access to quality education.
