Phonetics

It is the study of speech sound in their physical aspect.

Phonology

It is the study of the patterns of sounds in a language, studies the speech spunds in their cognitive aspects: phonemes.

Morphology

It is the study of the formation of words, studies the form and structure of morphemes.

Syntax

It is the study of the formation of sentences, studies the rules, primciples and processes that govern the structure of sentences.

Semantics

It is the study of literal meaning, it refers to the study of different aspects of meaning.

Pragmatics

It is the study of language meaning in context.
