Siena, città toscana famosa per le costruzioni medievali in mattoni, include la Piazza del Campo con il Palazzo Pubblico e la Torre del Mangia. Le diciassette contrade storiche circondano la piazza.
ÈIn Toscana sono presenti 29 tra i borghi più belli d'Italia. Nelle Terre di Siena e in Valdichiana Senese si viaggia attraverso i secoli visitando borghi di origine etrusca, castelli, terme, torri medievali.

Volterra, anticamente chiamata Velathri dagli Etruschi, è situata su un poggio e offre una vista del tramonto a 40 km di distanza. La città, ricca di storia culturale sin dai tempi etruschi, è conosciuta per la sua fragilità, ma anche per la sua vitalità e dinamicità, simili all'alabastro locale.

Il Palio di Siena
Il Palio di Siena è parte della storia cittadina e popolare, con origini antiche che risalgono al 1208. Le Contrade e il Palio hanno radici nel 1281, evolvendo nel tempo fino alle corse su cavalli in Piazza nel 1633. l Palio si svolge due volte l'anno:
- 8 luglio: in onore della Madonna di Provenzano
- 16 agosto: in onore della Madonna Assunta

Il quarto giorno sarà dedicato a Lucca. La giornata si concluderà a Pisa dove dormiremo, per l'ultima notte in Toscana.

La seconda giornata ci porta a scoprire tre tipici borghi toscani:
- Certaldo, il paese di Spalletti e anche di Boccaccio
- San Giminiano e le sue torri
- Poggibonsi, solo perchè ci sono degli agriturismo in zona.

Lucca
Lucca è una delle città d’arte più belle ed amate della Toscana, una tappa che non può davvero mancare in un itinerario classico alla scoperta della regione. Soprannominata la Città dalle 100 chiese, per la sua incredibile collezione di luoghi di culto, è l’unica fra le città-stato della regione ad aver conservato la propria indipendenza fino al 1847.

Val d’Elsa e della Val di Cecina
Due valli in continuità con Volterra come punto di osservazione, la Val d'Elsa segnata dalla Via Francigena e caratterizzata da borghi come Casole e Radicondoli che conservano il fascino antico. San Gimignano, con le sue torri, è un patrimonio dell'umanità che racconta la storia della regione. C’è poi la vicina Poggibonsi, che, nonostante palesi la modernità, rivela note a pie’ di pagina che sono antiche tanto quanto la trama dell’intera vallata.

Volterra è un borgo edificato su una collina fra le valli dell’Era e del Cecina. Con la sua doppia cinta di mura, quella etrusca e quella duecentesca, è una città dall’aspetto medievale, dove è ancora possibile gustare l’atmosfera di un borgo antico.Volterra, antica città-stato dell'Etruria, nota per la lavorazione dell'alabastro, importante prodotto dell'artigianato italiano.
