Step 2
Create Variant Groups (if you haven't already)
Tired of assigning students to variants...only to have to go back and manually assign all of your new students to each lesson variant in a unit? Sync Association allows you to add new students to a variant group and move them into variants with the click of a button!
Step 1
Some teachers have experienced issues with previously created catch up plans within Edio when using Sync Association. The Edio product team is aware of the issue. One way to avoid this in the meantime is to create variant groups and then duplicate them and use Sync Association for each unit.
Sync Association Tip
Sync Association can interfere with Catch Up Plans. One way to avoid this is to use the Exempt Feature for lessons when creating Catch Up Plans. Another way to avoid this is to recreate your variant subgroups for each unit within Edio. You should also create a variant subgroup for learners with Catch Up Plans. Be sure to move learners from their original variant subgroup into one for those with Catch Up Plans so that whenever you use Sync Association, learners with Catch Up Plans will move to the desired variant.
