Odin

Associated with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, war, battle, victory and the runic alphabet. The son of Bestla and Borr along with two brothers, Vili and Vé, and he fathered many sons, most famously the gods Thor (with Jörð) and Baldr (with Frigg). Odin is also associated with the divine battlefield women, the valkyries, and he oversees Valhalla, where he receives those who die in battle. Odin sacrificed himself hangiing from Yggdrasil and was given the runes: I know that I hung on a windy tree nine long nights, wounded with a spear, on that tree of which no man knows from where its roots run. No bread did they give me nor a drink from a horn, downwards I peered; I took up the runes, screaming I took them, then I fell back from there.

Thor

He is a hammer-wielding god associated with lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of humankind. Thor is the son of Odin and Jörð. He has two servants, Þjálfi and Röskva, and rides in a cart or chariot pulled by two goats, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr (whom he eats and resurrects). He wields the hammer Mjölnir, wears the belt Megingjörð and the iron gloves Járngreipr.

Loki is a shape shifter and in separate incidents appears in the form of a salmon, a mare, a fly. He is the adopted son of Odin. Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr. His three children are to set free during Ragnarok.

She is a female being in Norse mythology who is said to preside over an underworld realm of the same name, where she receives a portion of the dead. Hel is referred to as a daughter of Loki. She was appointed by the god Odin as ruler of the underwold, located in Niflheim. The realm is in one of the three roots of Yggdrasil.

Frigg, or Frigga, holds an exalted position in the pantheon of Norse goddesses. She is the queen of Asgard, the realm of the gods, and wife to Odin, the all-father. She is a powerful goddess, revered for her wisdom, foresight, and mastery of the domestic arts. In Norse mythology, Frigg is regarded as a goddess of the sky, motherhood, fertility, and marriage. She is often associated with domesticity and the protection of the home. However, one of Frigg's most intriguing attributes is her prophetic ability. While she is bestowed with the knowledge of the future.
