VERB + INFINITIVE or gerund
Some verbs (love, like, hate, prefer, start,begin) can be followed by gerund (ing) or an infinitive without a change in meaning.
examples:
- i love to chat online / i love chating online
- she likes to eat pizza/she likes eating pizza
With other verbs (forget, remember,stop,try) the meaning changes.
examples:
- I stopped taking selfies (never)
- i stopped to take selfie (moment)
- she forgot calling her friend
- she forgot to call her friend
