Amnistia Internacional

A Amnistia Internacional é uma organização não governamental (ONG) que atua globalmente em defesa dos direitos humanos. Fundada em 1961, a Amnistia Internacional tem como objetivo principal investigar e expor violações aos direitos humanos, bem como mobilizar ações para promover a justiça e a igualdade. A organização defende diversos direitos fundamentais, como liberdade de expressão, liberdade de associação, direito à justiça e direito à vida, entre outros. Para isso, realiza campanhas de conscientização, petições e investigações. A Amnistia Internacional é conhecida pela abordagem imparcial e independente, e pela sua atuação é guiada pelos princípios da Declaração Universal dos Direitos Humanos. Por meio do trabalho, a organização busca garantir que os direitos de todas as pessoas sejam respeitados, independentemente de sua origem étnica, religião, sexo, orientação sexual ou qualquer outra característica.

A Maratona de Cartas da Amnistia Internacional é uma das maiores campanhas anuais da organização, na qual milhões de pessoas de todo o mundo se juntam para escrever cartas em PRO DA defesa dos direitos humanos. Esta maratona NORMALmente ocorre durante o mês de dezembro, coincidindo com o Dia Internacional dos Direitos Humanos, celebrado A 10 de dezembro. Durante a Maratona de Cartas, a Amnistia Internacional destaca casos de pessoas em situações GRAVES DE PERDA DOS DIREITOS HUMANOS, como prisões arbitrárias, tortura, discriminação, entre outros. Os participantes da campanha são encorajados a escrever cartas de solidariedade e apoio às vítimas, TAL como a enviar cartas de apelo às autoridades responsáveis. EsTas cartas têm um impacto significativo, pois pressionam as autoridades a prestar atenção aos casos e a agir em conformidade com os padrões internacionais de direitos humanos. Além disso, a Maratona de Cartas mobiliza a opinião pública e promove a conscientização sobre questões urgentes de direitos humanos em todo o mundo.
