MOBILES FOR GOOD! eTWINNING PROJECT SURVEY ANALYSIS
These are the results of the survey created in the MOBILES FOR GOOD! eTwinning project. It was carried out in two highschools in Italy and Spain. We asked about the use of mobile phones among teenagers.
The first part of the survey analyzes the use and habits of teenages in relation with their mobile phones
According to the survey, the mobile phone is the most used technological device for most of the students. We expected that.
Almost half of the students claimed that they mainly use their mobile phones for social media. We were not surprised to see this!
It seems that half of the teenagers use their mobile phones for more that two hours on a weekday, and that increases at the weekend. Surprisingly, we found out that some of us still use them less that 30 minutes a day!
In relation with the impact of mobile phones on health, the survey shows that almost one third of the students sometimes have a headache after using their phones. Also, almost 75% of students feel that excessive use can have negative consequences such as poor eyesight or mental tiredness.
