The Present continuous tense
The present continuous puts emphasis on the course or duration of an action.

Moment of speaking
USES: 1. Things that are happening now / at the moment. 2. 'At the moment' can mean 'around now.'
Examples: - They are having a party next door. - I am reading a book at the moment (not exactly now)
3. Temporary actions.
Example: - I am working at home this week because my daughter isn't very well.

General rule
In general, we just add -ING to the base form of a verb
